Introduction Economic activity is affected by kindle and active groups through two mechanisms. 1 is through common political relation, in which groups attempt to in uence public of?ceholders to the bene?t of the groups themselves or those whom they support. The other is through hole-and-corner(a) politics, in which refer and activist groups attempt to in uence economic activity flat with verboten reliance on public institutions or of?ceholders. This paper provides a theory of private politics in which an activist seeks to variety the production practices of a ?rm for the purpose of redistribution to those whose interests it supports.
