Often, as an adolescent myself, I disagree with me the way my parents make believe raised me. Coming from a family where my parents are authoritarian people, I feel as if I have not had a luck to distill myself the way I would ad hominemly wish to. I did a simple survey, asking both adolescents and adults what they theory about the relationship between authoritarian parents, and self-expression. I surveyed 27 subjects, who would consider their parents to fit under the authoritarian category, and if they snarl they had the chance to express themselves, and I believe the results were quite shocking.


25 of the subjects, entangle as if they could not express themselves in a personal way. They also felt like their parents would choose how they were allowed to express themselves, most giving them no freedom. Next, I asked the subjects if they would continue the strict nutrition like their parents had laid upon them, or switch to a much passive route.

63 % of the subjects, would rather be laid back, and let their kids express themselves in their own personal way. A volume of that 63%, said that they felt like they were deprived of a childhood, and could never really be their own person. None of them exigencyed, or would want to put their child through those struggles.



On the flip out side, 37% said they would also be just as strict, if not more strict then their parents were. Their responses were also similar, saw that they have accomplished a lot in their lives, and level(p) though they may have not been able to express their own self, they still had a decent childhood.
On a slightly bigger scale, I interviewed 45 subjects, asking them how they felt their parents raised them, and if they would raise their own kids the same way.

1/3 of the subjects, said they would raise their kids the exact same way their parents raised them, with hopes their children turned out to be the same as they did.
