In late 2006 as I was observance the news a story came on saying that an African American man was shot and killed in his vehicle afterwards exiting a club by NYPD, hours before his wedding. Officers had reason to retrieve he was involved in an earlier altercation in which he wasnt. This incident brought about the issue of racial profiling. Racial profiling has primarily been viewed as DWB or movement while dark-skinned or brown. A more distinct definition is also given it states that racial profiling is either police-initiated action that relies on the race, ethnicity, or national origin sort of than the behavior of an individual or information that leads the police to a particular individual who has been identified as being, or having been diligent in criminal activity (Journal of Criminal Justice Vol.34 643-651).
